Cannabis 101
The Cannabis sativa plant contains both psychoactive and non-psychoactive properties. With over 480 identified elements, the plant's non-psychoactive (CBD) properties may help to alleviate stress and pain, while psychoactive (THC) elements provide these same benefits while also working to disrupt mental processing, leaving users feeling "high."
Over 130 of the chemicals in the Cannabis sativa plant are collectively named cannabinoids and are organized into three categories: phytocannabinoids (plant-based), synthetic cannabinoids (man-made), and endocannabinoids (produced within the body). Products categorized as hemp or Delta contain less than 0.3% THC, while anything over 0.3% is considered Marijuana.
